DEFINITIONS
Service(s): Any of the services provided by the Company, as listed under the “Services” menu on the Home page of this website.
Client: The main recipient of the Service(s)
Company: Ellie Watkinson T/A Ellie The Makeup Artist
Agreement: The agreement between the Client and Ellie Watkinson T/A Ellie The Makeup Artist, confirmed by email or phone, for provision of the Service(s) chosen
Fee: The amount payable by the Client to the Company, Ellie Watkinson T/A Ellie The Makeup Artist for the Service(s) in the Agreement
The Event: The occasion and venue where the Service(s) will be provided by the Company
Party: Persons in addition to the Client requiring Service(s) at the Event

BOOKING – WEDDING DAY MAKEUP/HAIR
Services are only secured upon receipt of a deposit payment.
The deposit payment should be made before a trial session. Receipt of a deposit payment confirms the Agreement and secures the Company’s availability for the Event on the agreed date and time for the agreed Fee.
The deposit is deducted from the final Fee due. Enquiries for which a retainer has not been paid are not confirmed and therefore availability cannot be guaranteed and an Agreement is not formally in place.
Deposits are non-refundable – this is to cover our administration costs in dealing with your enquiry.
Cancellations are only deemed valid if received via email. Email address is elliew14.ew@gmail.com.
The Fee is always agreed via email, verbal agreements are not offered as they are not deemed valid by the Company.
The Company reserves the right to cancel special offers and rates at any time, with the exception of where an emailed Agreement is already in place with the Client.
BOOKING – OTHER MAKEUP/HAIR/LESSONS
Bookings are secured upon payment of the Deposit Fee and confirmation from The Company. This confirms the Agreement and secures the Company’s availability for the Event on the agreed date and time for the agreed Fee.
Cancellations are only deemed valid if received via email or text to 07835 417452 but all deposits are non refundable for all makeovers and services including trials and wedding day makeup.
The Fee is always agreed via email or text; verbal agreements are not offered as they are not deemed valid by the Company.
The Company reserves the right to cancel special offers and rates at any time, with the exception of where an emailed Agreement is already in place with the Client.
TRAVEL EXPENSES FOR BOOKINGS WITHIN THE MAINLAND UK
Travel expenses of £0.50 per mile are incurred for all UK mainland bookings outside a 10-mile radius of Ealing.
Distances are calculated using an online journey planner and travel expenses will be agreed between Ellie Watkinson and the Client.
Where travel expenses are incurred for travel by car to locations where the services are to be provided within the London Congestion Charge Zone, at times when the Charge is in operation, the London Congestion Charge fee will be added to the Fee.
TRAVEL EXPENSES FOR BOOKINGS OUTSIDE OF THE MAINLAND UK
Travel expenses for services booked outside of the mainland UK are as follows:

To/From a UK train station, airport or port where the makeup artist will be travelling from/to, including parking costs. If the journey to/from the train station, airport or port is with our own vehicle, £0.50 will be charged for every mile outside of a 10-mile road distance from Ealing, London.

Return rail tickets, flights and/or boat tickets booked from/to convenient train stations, airports and/or ports. We will always endeavour to find the most cost-effective option.

Any additional travel required at the destination related to provision of services at the Event.

ACCOMMODATION & SUBSISTENCE EXPENSES FOR BOOKINGS WITHIN THE MAINLAND UK
Accommodation expenses are incurred for services provided within the mainland UK for bookings where the makeup artist would have to leave their home address on or before 6:30am.
This will be discussed and agreed with the Client during the booking process.
£50 will be charged for subsistence for every 24 hours spent away from home for a booking for subsistence expenses will be charged.
The Company will always endeavour to find the most cost-effective option at all times.
ACCOMMODATION & SUBSISTENCE EXPENSES FOR BOOKINGS OUTSIDE OF THE MAINLAND UK
Additional accommodation expenses at the destination of the Event overseas may also be incurred. However, all accommodation expenses will be discussed and agreed with the Client during the booking process.
Accommodation should be at least a 3-star standard.
£50 will be charged for subsistence for subsistence charge for every 24 hours spent away from home for a booking.
The Company will always endeavour to find the most cost-effective option.
DEPOSITS AND PAYMENT – HAIR/MAKEUP
A 50% deposit is required to book the makeup services and this is non refundable. This applies to all makeup services including wedding trials and wedding day makeup services.
The makeup trial exists to determine colours, shades, makeup look required and any issues will be ‘ironed out’ during these trials. If ,for some unforeseen reason, the bride or any party of the bride decides they do not wish to continue and do wish to employ our services for the actual wedding day, the deposit for the wedding day will still be retained by Ellie Watkinson t/a Ellie The Makeup Artist.
An invoice for the balance of the Fee will be sent from the Company to the Client 6 weeks before the date of the Event, unless the Event is in less than 6 weeks’ time in which case it will be sent immediately after the booking has been secured.
Full payment of the balance of the Fee is required 4 weeks before the Event at the latest, if the Event is less than 4 weeks away full payment is required to secure the booking. There are no exceptions to this.
Payment can be accepted by debit or credit card, or bank transfer.
Bookings are only confirmed once the funds have cleared in the Company’s bank account.
CLIENT RESPONSIBILITY
It is the Client’s responsibility to inform Ellie Watkinson, t/a Ellie The Makeup Artist of any potential issues such as but not limited to medical conditions, allergies, and/or sensitivities. The Company cannot be held liable for any condition that arises or loss incurred by the Client if the Client has not informed the Company of any known conditions as stated above, or of any conditions unknown to the Client at the time of the service.
The Company reserve the right to cancel the Agreement if the behaviour of the Client is deemed inappropriate and/or if the Client reports a condition that the Company deem as a risk to the Client’s health and well-being. In these cases any payments that have already been made by the Client for the service are non-refundable.
COMPANY RESPONSIBILITY
The Company will always endeavour to honour the Agreement to the best of its ability.
There may be circumstances beyond the control of the Company where Ellie Watkinson, the makeup artist is unwell, delayed or otherwise unavailable, sometimes at short notice. In such a case the Company will inform the Client at its earliest convenience and endeavour to make favourable alternative arrangements if possible.
The Company reserves the right to offer the Client compensation in the event that it is not able to honour the Agreement. This is entirely dependent on the circumstances and will be discussed openly and honestly with the Client.
CANCELLATIONS & REFUNDS
Unless specified differently on the webpage for the service:

Payments made to the Company for a service that is subsequently cancelled by the Company will be refunded in full within 7 days of the cancellation.

Cancellations by the Client for a wedding service that are received less than 6 weeks before the start of the service incur the full cost of the booking. For cancellations received before this time, deposits will be retained only and are non-refundable.

Cancellations by the Client for a non-wedding service that are received less than 3 weeks before the start of the service incur the full cost of the booking. For cancellations received before this time, deposits will be retained only and are non-refundable.

Cancellations for services booked where travel and/or accommodation expenses have been paid for by the Company and are non-refundable by the travel/accommodation provider(s) will incur full reimbursement from the Client to the Company for the travel and/or accommodation costs paid.
Payments made for trial sessions are non-refundable.

PHOTOGRAPHY & USE OF IMAGES
Photographic/video images of the Client, Party and/or Event will not be used by the Company in promotional material unless the Client’s express permission has been granted.
CHANGES TO SERVICES AND PRICES
Prices for products and services are subject to change without notice.
The Company reserves the right to modify or discontinue a service (or any part or content thereof) at any time without notice.
ADDITIONAL IMPORTANT DETAILS
Maximum time allocation for trial sessions: The maximum time that the Team can spend on any one trial is 2.5 hours for a makeup booking or 4.5 hours for a makeup and hair booking. Any additional time required for trial sessions will have to be booked as a repeat trial.
Repeat trials: If a second makeup and/or hair trial are requested the same fee applies as for the first trial.
Single bride supplements and minimum booking sizes for bridal services: Extra charges are applicable for single bride bookings and there are minimum booking sizes for bridal services for certain times/distances. These will be discussed at the time of booking.
Assistants: For large bookings and/or bookings with limited preparation time it may be necessary for more than one Company member to attend, if this is the case an additional fee is applicable. This may also include travel, accommodation and subsistence expenses for the assistant member. You’ll be informed of this during the booking process.
Individual lashes: Individual lash application is included in the price agreed for the makeup service, there is no reduction in price for any makeup service if they are declined.
